Business starts with 4 taxis by Bernard Acklam
1978
Minibuses purchased to go with the 6 taxis, Paul Acklam is now
involved with the business
1983
First coach is bought, a second hand 53 seater ford mainly for
private hire
1988
A new Mercedes vario is acquired for rural and local service and is
soon followed by another.
1998
The ford 53 seater is changed for a 57 seat duple bodied DAF which
was operated by Mayne coaches.
Soon after it’s sister coach our first executive 49 seater duple
body DAF is acquired from Nottingham.
Alan Acklam joins both Paul and Bernard in the business.
2000
After growing private hire and contract work we buy our first new
coach, the pride of the fleet a 49 seater executive DAF, Plaxton
Excalibur.

Jo Acklam joins our office to cope with the growing work load.

A large investment in two new executive coaches and the first
Mercedes cheetah, to cope with new contracts for the corporate
market
2005-06
First coach trips undertaken into Europe.
2006
We buy our first wheelchair accessible coach and invest in a
Optare, Solo easy access for our local town and rural bus
